Visit Rick Shores Burleigh for world-class dining right on the beach. The Pavillion and The Tropic, in the southern part of Burleigh Beach, also have excellent water views. If you prefer, you can dine at Willow Dining, which serves Mediterranean, European, Modern Australian, Spanish, and a mix of Asian faves, as well as clever handcrafted cocktails and distinctive wines.

Locals enjoy many other fantastic restaurants, but there are also new ones you should try.

New Restaurants

Crispy Italian Bar

Burleigh gets its first traditional ‘bar Italiano’ on the beachfront. Crispy Italian Bar serves the most excellent Italian-inspired pizza and coffee bar.

Crispy Italian Bar’s mission is to introduce the essence of their traditional Italian bars, presenting a tasty and novel eating concept to the Gold Coast, born out of two friends’ shared passion for their culture and cuisine. They serve delicious Italian dishes well-known and appreciated by many, such as traditional Panini and Pizzas.

The Bread Social

Tom Scott, Sam Saulwick, and Paul Giddings make up The Bread Social, producing everything from organic sourdoughs to light buttery pastries. Their ingredients are 100% Australian, organic, and as close to home as feasible.

After eight years of baking at The Farm Byron Bay, they opened a shop in Currumbin Waters, eventually becoming the new The Bread Social HQ. Look for the kiosk with green subway tiles at 2 Queensbury Avenue, Currumbin Waters and sample their custard tarts, fruit-topped danishes, croissants, sandwiches, rustic, homemade sourdough, and more. They are open from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. By the end of the year, the facility will have a 120-sqm internal café with alfresco eating, a pastry room, and a state-of-the-art industrial bakery.

Tarte Beach House

Tarte Beach House, one of the Gold Coast’s most anticipated openings of 2023, is officially open. The exquisite Hamptons-style Cafe, with sites in Burleigh Heads and Currumbin, should be on your weekend breakfast, lunch, and freshly baked pastries list.

Their flagship cafe in Burleigh Heads is on the beautiful West Street, just beyond the hustle and bustle of James Street. If you prefer to visit their second location, you can schedule a breakfast or a late lunch overlooking the picturesque Currumbin Creek.
